FAQs

  • What are the benefits of homemade baby food?

Where do I begin…From being more nutritious and tastier than commercially processed food to being able to give your baby more of a variety to really tickle their taste buds and promote healthy eating from an early age.

Home-made baby food promotes healthier habits and your baby will learn to love non-processed foods from the start. Your baby should taste, see, and smell the natural taste of real and fresh food. Your baby’s palette is also being set up for natural flavours right from the start.

Home-made baby food allows for better quality ingredients and ALL my meals are prepared with 100% organic produce!

  • How many times a day should my baby eat solids?

Start slowly. Your baby will take only small amounts of solid foods at first. You can start with meal a day and gradually build to 2 or 3 times a day.

Your baby will guide you, I promise.

  • Do you use organic and GMO-free produce?

Absolutely, even my herbs are organic!

  • How long does frozen baby food last once it has been defrosted?

I would recommend once you have defrosted a meal that it be used within 24 hours.

My frozen meals are best warmed up in a pot over a medium heat until piping hot then cooled to the right temperature and served.

  • How do I know if my baby is ready for solids?

The 3 most common signs your little one is ready is when they able to sit upright and hold their head steady. They are able to co-ordinate their eyes, hands and mouth so they can look at the food, pick it up and put it in their mouth and lastly, they able to swallow the food rather than spit it out.

  • What if my baby does not like a meal?

It is very important to remember that it is a normal part of the weaning process for babies to reject food multiple times. It is recommendation that each food should be tasted at least ten times before deciding whether or not a baby likes/dislikes certain foods. Perseverance is the key!
